Realex Payments at the National Payments Conference

Realex Payments Founder and Managing Director Colm Lyon presented at the second National Payments Conference, which took place on April 18th 2008 in the Royal Hospital Kilmainham.

The conference opened with a keynote speech on SEPA by European Commissioner Charlie McCreevey, who stressed the need for early adoption of SEPA. Colm Lyon spoke about “Innovation in Payments” from a business perspective. Other speakers at the conference included;

  • Professor Elaine Kempson CBE - Director, Personal Finance Research Centre, University of Bristol
  • Mr. Pat McLoughlin - Chief Executive, Irish Payment Services Organisation
  • Mr. Paul O'Brien - Head of Policy and Oversight Unit, Central Bank and Financial Services Authority of Ireland
  • Mr. Juha Risikko - Senior Product Manager at Nordea Private Netbank
  • Mr. Paul Smee – Chief Executive of the U.K. Payments Council
